I was born China, moved to Japan when I was 5 years old, and grew up there.
After working for 4+ years as web back-end software engineer in Tokyo, I have decided to come to Vancouver to study further about programming because ... I love it!
I like how it helps or amuses people daily.
This motivates me to study more and more to learn the tools to solve problems and create something new.
I chose VFS programming course because it teaches creative programming, which I would like to be involved in, such as Games, Interactive Web Applications, and Media Arts.
Experience
- Java: 4 years web application back-end development. I have worked for an online payment service and job searching service, as well as implemented API, OAuth, designed refund feature. Lastly, I designed back-end batch which relates payment data to delivery data. I’m very experienced with Struts framework.
- C#: 6 months WPF application development from scratch and 1 year study for using Unity to develop games .
- C++: 1 year study for games. Implemented final project at VFS with UE4/C++.
- JavaScript: 4 years web back-end development was also related to ES5. At VFS, I regularly used ES6 and AngularJS to make web games and applications. Currently, I am studying React.
- SQL: 4+ years experience with working for RDBMS. Not only using SQL to do CRUD, but also designed entity–relationship model for an in-house car information management software. Used to use Oracle, MySQL.
- Secure Programming: 1 year experience for fixing web application security such as XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection and Session Fixation.

- UE4: Multiplayer Hovercraft Shooter using C++, Blueprint.
- Shader: Simple water shader with GLSL. Studied HLSL.
- Processing: Studied math behind physics engine and trained to do rapid prototyping.
- Mobile: Basic layout implementation for Android and iOS.
